In Tal Chhapar, India, spiny-tailed lizards form the foundation of the food web, supporting countless predators in this landscape. This image captures a dramatic moment: a cobra in pursuit of a lizard, a scene of survival in the wild.

It's nesting season, and a pair of rose-ringed parakeets have claimed this tree cavity as their home. The female parakeet peers out, her watchful gaze fixed on passersby—including a no-so-subtle photographer.

Many mammals mark their territory by leaving scent on objects, and tigers are no exception. This image shows a large male tiger rubbing his face against a tree trunk by the river's edge. At times, he may also scratch or defecate to reinforce his territorial boundaries.

Competition on the lek is fierce! Males stomp, snort, and swing their spiralled horns to impress and draw the attention of females.
